God is always working even when we can’t quite see it yet, then again maybe we can and we just aren’t paying close enough attention.
We feel broken and wonder, “where is God in this”? We forget that God is a healer, it is in our brokenness that he is able to mold, heal, and change us for his purpose. Often where we think God is least present and least active, is actually his prime location. If we were perfect then there would be no need for the cross... But that’s just it, we’re not perfect, none of us are. We are all broken and we are blessed enough to serve a God who wants to meet us in that place of brokenness, that place of pain, that place of defeat, and we serve a God who not only wants to meet us there but who wants to love us and ignite purpose within us. That’s pretty cool if you ask me.
Being broken isn’t a sign of weakness, it is apart of our human nature and a necessary element in life to be truly changed and molded by God.
Outside of my own brokenness, the most apparent way I see God work is in the little details. Have you ever just looked around? How intricately all the plants are placed, the timing of the sunrise and sunset, how the birds know just the right time to migrate, and the animals when to hibernate, how the plants filter oxygen for our survival, how good grows, or how babies are so meticulously formed in the womb? Everywhere we look God is working, yet sometimes we are so blinded by life we fail to even notice the utter beauty God has placed all around us. I heard a saying recently and it has held very true for me. “If the devil can’t get to you then he will make you busy.” Have you ever noticed how when life gets busy our focus gets taken off of God sometimes completely? Interesting right? Yep quite a clever tactic. I want to encourage you today no matter how busy life gets, take time to be still with the Lord. When you put him first he will help you accomplish everything else but don’t let the devils tactics take hold today. Instead hold tight to the Lord with all you have and make him your rock, your focus and your foundation.
