Love is War

"Love is war", these famous words used by many authors, poems etc, pack so much meaning. Three simple words and yet they have seemingly endless view points. I began thinking about this today, usually we relate love to kindness, happiness, things of light spirit. Why would we ever relate love to almost its polar opposite being war? Well lets think about it, when you love someone you fight for them, your willing to do anything to protect them, make them happy and so on. Same goes for when you love something, you protect it and keep it safe at all costs. People go to war and fight for our country why? Because they love it. When you love and respect something or someone you don't care about the cost, you simply fight till the death if needed. Love is war because in a relationship your always fighting against obstacles trying to tear you apart. Love is war because its something worth fighting for and fighting with. Love is war because its a fight against all odds.

Fake Fairytales to Real Stories

I feel like as you grow up, there's one thing we all learn and we wish we hadn't. Life isn't the fairytale you read about in the storybooks. None of that is real, its not real moments shared between loved ones, its not the respect or lessons learned by working hard. Its not appreciation when everything is just given to you. It actually appeals to no real human senses except imagination and longing wh

Don't Judge, Help Flourish

It has been way too long since I've written last. Life has been so hectic both pre and post pageant. Two weeks later and I'm finally seeming to get back in the swing of things! Today I want to talk about a verse that I have read repeatedly and put a lot of thought into lately. John 7:8 says as s9ome men were confronting a women of adultery, "Let any one who has never sinned cast the first stone at her." We serve a forgiving God. The woman in this story knew she was wrong and God knew that so as these men are running to God basically tattling on her. He tells them "let any one who has sinned." The key words here are "never sinned", he's telling us for one, that if he the God of the universe is gracious enough to forgive, then who are we to not do the same? He's also saying ,you know what, yes this woman has sinned, but look in the mirror because so have all of you. It says in the story that as soon as he said the words as mentioned above, th
