Comfort

I've been thinking about the concept of comfort as of late. As humans we crave comfort, in situations where fear or uncertainty sets in, yet also in our everyday life and interactions. We want to be comfortable, safe, secure. Not that this desire is wrong, however it can be a danger to faith. Faith literally calls us out of our comfort zones, it calls us to conviction, repentance and theough that God grows our spiritual maturity to further his likeness in us. Growth is not comfortable. Are you comfortable staying up until 2am studying for an exam? How about going to the gym everyday and working on your health? Growth isn't comfortable, yet neither is being stagnant. Being stagnant gets you nowhere and gives its own feelings of discomfort when you don't see the growth you hope to in life and begin to feel stuck. In life you have to choose your discomfort, if you take discomfort in faith then you open a door for God to work in you and through you, ultimately allowing impact

Easter

As I've been reflecting upon this amazing day in history, the resurrection of Jesus many thoughts have come to mind. On this day victory was bestowed upon God, he conquered death, he trampled sin, and he payed the price none of us could ever atone for. In our world today it's easy to see God as distant, it's easy to think he's even forgotten about us at some points, yet if you truly take a look around you'll see the many areas God is still working over 2000 years later. On good Friday Morgan Wallen released the song, "Don't Think Jesus", if you haven't heard it yet it's worth a listen. The song is basically a country gospel song and it has managed to reach millions in today's generation that perhaps have never heard gospel music before. Some may say it's coincidental it was released on good Friday. I don't think there's coincidences, rather what I know is that God has a plan and his plan will be completed to perfection. Nothing
