Problems or Potential?

Do you ever feel like you life is lacking something? Like you have this picture of where you want to go but you don't have the paints to color it? Its funny how constantly we try to color within the lines per say, we get this picture of what we want, and we only look for things in life that will fill in the specific picture we've created. Let me ask you this however, in order to contradict that near sighted thought, what would happen if we painted outside the lines? What would happen if we used less of our perception and understanding of what the picture should be and we traded that in for more of God's perception and understanding? How different would that picture look? Would we need to search for all the paints? Or would they already be there? God has given us everything we need to fulfill his purpose for our lives. We often times look so far into what we don't have that we are completely blind to everything that we do have. In order to see God's painting for our

NHCC Gala!

Tonight my family and I had the honor and privilege of attending the 2018 New Hope Christian College Gala. I'd like to start off by thanking Pastor John Tilton for inviting us to take part in such a wonderful evening! It was so great to see some of our beloved friends from the islands and have a chance to catch up on so much :). Tonight was about more though then just catching up with old friends, it was the NHCC annual fundraiser and also a night of true inspiration, a night of drive, a night that got my brain thinking about not only my future goals, but the goals that God has for my life. As I'm nearing the end of my sophomore year in high school, I have began thinking more intently about college and what exactly I want to pursue in my future. I've been fairly set on pediatrics and physcology, however as I've been praying and listening to mentors etc, I have been leaning more towards physcology and motivational writing and speaking. LIVE

In our lives were given so many moments, some moments seem so insignificant that one wouldn't even give them a second glance. If you want the truth though, the truth is that every single waking moment counts, from the simplest interactions to the most grand of gestures. The fact is, no matter what stage your at in life, young or old, reckless or wise, were all dying. From the day were born our "life clock" starts ticking, every moment that goes by, that's a moment we can never get back, an action committed that we can never change. Every day that passes is an entire 24 hours simply gone to the wind. What did we do with our day? How did we influence the lives of those around us? Did we help or did we hurt? I'm sure you've heard the saying, "live like your dying", or "live every day like its your last". Well those aren't just sayings because you are dying, we all are. Were all slowly diminishing away into oblivion and every second counts.

Defining Your Fears

What is fear?  Websters Dictionary defines fear as " and unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger." The key word here is "anticipation", you see even if there is actually no danger, our fear or the insecurities our minds create about our fear make us think its dangerous. Fear is simply a figment of our imagination, if we want to get over a fear all we need to do is change our way of thinking. The moment we replace "scared" with "adventurous" or "terrifying" with "exciting" is the moment when we gain control over our fears. Why should we let our fears keep us from living? Take control of your mind and take control of your fears, and remember..   The times in which you are truly living are those when you feel as if your dying...
