Heya!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've had a pretty hectic week at horse fair but I'm back now!
The topic I would like to focus on today is "positive outlook" , this can be having a positive outlook on anything and any situation which is why I love it. Broad topics become more interesting to talk about as they can branch off so easily. You can have a positive outlook on life in general or specific areas, maybe your always positive and optimistic in one area but another needs some work. When we realize where we need to work in our lives to improve ourselves than we can continue to grow. Its our flaws and mistakes that give us room to grow. Now positive outlook can be pretty difficult, I mean we're human so who naturally wants to be positive about a tough situation? Yeah basically no one and for those few of you that do I commend you because that truly is a great trait. For those of us who are not super humans , I would like to really stress the need to be positive. You see when you set your mind to be positive even during a tough time, your mental health will improve as well as your physical health. Emotions take a large toll on the body and each emotion has a different effect. Happiness gives you this burst of energy and a light in your eye that may not have been there before. Sadness takes out energy causing you to be less active, drowsy and maybe even easily agitated. Same thing when your being positive or negative, positivity can lift your spirit and when you think about and focus on the good aspects than you have an easier time seeing the bigger picture. I'm sure you've heard the saying "there's a bright side to everything" or "you just have to find the silver lining" or "the storm comes before the rainbow" if you haven't heard these, you have now. These sayings can be very accurate. No matter how difficult a situation there is always another way to view it or a positive aspect. I wish that i had an example to share with you all but I don't so i challenge you to look into your own life and find an area where you need an improvement in positivity and work towards it, maybe set a goal and see how you can improve your mental health just by making this small change.
