You Dont Have to Try So Hard

"You don't have to try so hard. You don't have to give it all away". - "Try" by Colbie Calliat

This is a song lyric I'm sure we've all heard once or twice however I think it is pertinent for young women in today's society to truly digest and remember. In a world that calls us to show off every bit of our bodies and to give away every ounce of energy to simply be accepted, in a world that calls us to conform to it's impossible beauty standards and to excel in everything or else be worthy of nothing.... Young women tofay need to remember their worth is not determined by the world's standards, to those reading this, you are perfect just the way you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, if our creator took the time to place every single star by hand how much more time did he take planning you? Think about that and remember you don't have to give it all away! Everything you need to succeed is already inside of you and you are truly beautiful inside and out. Guard your hearts, guard your minds and guard your bodies, it's a treacherous world out there. Above all remember where your worth comes from. Your with is not in this world, rather it is in Jesus himself and his love for you. Have a blessed week ❤

Open Mic

Today I really want to bring the focus back to what I truly believe is worth fighting against. Bullying is becoming more prominent all across our state and country. All we hear about however is the same speech of how bullying is bad and hardly any solutions to stop it. Today I'd like to take a different approach.. Do you have a success story of bullying? Have you been bullied? Or do you know someone who's been bullied and wants to share the story of how they rose above and overcame it? The biggest satisfaction is given to a bully when they see that they have inflicted pain or hardship.. lets work together and show bullies, show the world that we have come out strong. Lets take away the satisfaction given to bullies.    If you or someone you know has a story that you would like featured on this blog as well as "My Journey to Miss Teen International" blog, simply email me @kaylagirl0501@gmail.com All stories will be posted anonymously for the sake of privacy.

Life Boat

There have been several topics on my mind and heart the last week. So I pray right now that God present them here the way he wants them written and understood. One topic I'm sure I've touched on before is uncertainty, however I feel it is more relevant now than possibly ever. In this world the only certainty we havw perhaps is uncertainty, key words here; this world. As I've mulled this topic over in my mind a couple things have become clear: -uncertainty forces growth of faith. -community and relationships are of utmost importance.  -In an uncertain world and constantly uncertain times, we as humans need Jesus, our rock and savior more then ever before.  -Lastly (for now) we need to be building our boats to withstand rough waters every day even as the water is still so that when the inevitable tsunami hits, the storm of life won't wash us away. This analogy sums up most of the main points, together with those whom we are building relationships, we should be building...

Positive Outlook

Heya! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've had a pretty hectic week at horse fair but I'm back now! The topic I would like to focus on today is "positive outlook" , this can be having a positive outlook on anything and any situation which is why I love it. Broad topics become more interesting to talk about as they can branch off so easily. You can have a positive outlook on life in general or specific areas, maybe your always positive and optimistic in one area but another needs some work. When we realize where we need to work in our lives to improve ourselves than we can continue to grow. Its our flaws and mistakes that give us room to grow. Now positive outlook can be pretty difficult, I mean we're human so who naturally wants to be positive about a tough situation? Yeah basically no one and for those few of you that do I commend you because that truly is a great trait. For those of us who are not super humans , I would like to really stress the need to...
