Midst of a Miracle...

Today I got the privilege to listen to one of my favorite pastors that many of you have probably heard of. Pastor Wayne Cordeiro is an inspiration and role model to people around the globe. Today his message touched a few things that I've really thought about since. Often times we see a problem as this scary horrible thing in which we will do anything to avoid. Lets be honest, none of us like things getting in the way of our plans or the "fairy tale" life we want to live. When we see a problem arise we typically try to avoid it completely or get mad etc. Think about this though, how does a miracle happen? What causes a miracle to occur? If you haven't caught on already then I'll tell you. Problems are the cause of miracles! God uses our problems to get our attention sometimes, he uses them to remind us hes in control and that we need to be patient and obey. So many cancer cases have been miraculously cured, if there weren't the problem of cancer then there would be no need for a miracle.  When your about to lose your job and surprisingly another opportunity arises, that's a miracle. If it weren't for the loss of the first job there would be once again no need for a miracle. Often times however we can be in the midst of a miracle and not even realize it. Miracles happen in the simplest of every day things and they also happen over time. Here's the kicker, sometimes God works alone and handles the miracle himself, but other times he needs us to follow and obey. Everything God does is in our best interest but sometimes we argue when he asks us to do something or we make up excuse. How many miracles have we lost out on due to being argumentative and disobedient. When we make the choice to follow Christ we cant be argumentative, we need to be willing, and we cant be disobedient but instead we need to learn to obey. I realized today a miracle that God is working on in my life, what could he be working on in yours? Don't miss out on Gods miracles in life due to disobedience, strive to listen to the one who has planned our lives from day one and knows us inside and out. Miracles are all around us all the time, its simply our choice to accept them or not. Take some time to think about this, you may be surprised what the Lord reveals to you like he has to me. :)

The fire

A thought came to me today as I stumbled upon some inspirational posts. Why are we often so eager to escape our troubling circumstances. We get trapped in the fire and get so focused on getting out that perhaps we miss the most important question of all, what refining needs to be completed in the fire? Just as a welder uses the fire to shape and refine metal, so God uses our circumstances, "fires" to shape and refine us. If he simply swooped in and saved the day, we would lack the knowledge he hopes us to gain, we wouldn't grow in character or wisdom. In the fire we think he abandom us, left us to our own devices, but in reality he is more present in the fire even then in the calm. It's when we feel abandoned that he's calling to us the loudest, beckoning us to just open our ears to listen to his voice. Take the fires in stride, don't immediately reach for the extinguisher. Allow the flames to surround you with the confident knowledge that the one whom the...

Be-You-Tiful

Hey Ladies<3 This post is specifically for all my ladies out there, we often hear the word "beautiful" in many ways. Its often used when we see someone we find prettier than ourselves in our eyes. We feel like we don't measure up because we aren't the "perfect or ideal" weight, or maybe we aren't using the super expensive makeup that someone else is. People in general are self conscious but we as woman get the brunt of it. We constantly try to be the "ideal" for someone else, its like a constant battle to be someones idea of beautiful. So much so that we forget to focus on our own idea of beautiful. We wear uncomfortable cloths, go on massive diets, and try to learn the impossible eye liner tutorials so that we feel like we measure up. We get so caught up in the worlds idea of beauty that we loose track of what we think is beautiful and what is spiritually beautiful. Some think that beauty comes from how much you spend on your appearance ,b...

Identity

I must first apologize to all of you , my readers for the long gap in between blogs. This summer has been insane and while I am not one to share my own personal life, I believe there were lessons learned and wisdom gained this past summer in which I would like to share with all of you. So all my teens and even parents out there, this ones for you.     Growing up is hard, especially in today's world with so many constant influences trying to tell us who we are and who we should become. It's a struggle among these influences to find out who you are now and who God wants you to be in the future, it's a constant question of if you made the right choice, if your going the right direction, and sometimes it feels as if there is purely no direction in any way you look. It can feel as if God is no longer leading you, and if your like me, that feeling is scary. I want to give you wisdom tonight that God is with you, I know for a fact because he stayed with me even when I couldn'...
